That change in tone gives it volume as it sweeps through the upper frame. Small triangular cable connections repeat along the curve, creating a sequence of details within the larger form.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBehind it, a second arch rises from lower in the composition. Its position introduces another direction, while the cables draw long diagonals across both the structure and the sky. I like how those slender lines remain delicate beside the substantial curved metal.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eClouds give the background a soft range of greys. They provide enough variation to keep the open areas alive without competing with the bridge. In monochrome, the bright surfaces, dark edges and fine lines each have a clear role.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis view reduces a Perth landmark to a few strong architectural relationships: curves, diagonals, repetition and empty space. The bridge remains identifiable, but the photograph also works as a study of modern design. The sky becomes a quiet field, the woodland a darker cluster, and the foreground a mixture of pale water and fine marks.
