A wall lantern, decorative window surround, balcony, and a small pigeon on the pavement give the vertical composition several scales of detail.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe entrance provides the darkest area in the frame. Its curved edge stands beside the more regular lines of the stone blocks, creating a clear change in shape. Higher up, the balcony’s ironwork adds thinner, curling lines. I am drawn to the way those different elements share the facade without making it feel uniform.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe lantern projects from the wall, its support and shadow forming another pattern across the masonry. Beside it, the small ornate opening introduces rounded details within the otherwise angular stonework. Near ground level, plants soften the building’s edge and make the street feel lived in. The pigeon gives a modest point of movement below the larger architectural forms.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI wanted to keep the scene’s contrast and texture together. Bright stone makes the openings and shadows more pronounced, while the smaller street details prevent the image from becoming only a formal building study.
